After a delicious breakfast, get ready for an exciting day! We’ll head to Changu Lake, just 35 km from Gangtok, situated at a majestic altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake is fed by snowmelt from the surrounding mountains and has an intriguing legend: lamas used to predict the future based on the color of its waters. Later, we’ll visit Baba Mandir, a sacred temple dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, which only Indian nationals can visit. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Explore the enchanting Rimbi waterfalls, experience the thrilling Sky-Walk, visit the serene Rimbi Orange Garden, and marvel at the magnificent Kanchenjunga waterfalls. Alternatively, you can choose to visit the sacred Khecheopalri Lake, a pilgrimage site for people of all faiths, known for its wish-fulfilling powers.

From Pelling, we’ll set off to the captivating town of Darjeeling, famous for its tea gardens and breathtaking views of the Himalayas. As we drive, you’ll be treated to scenic road views of the majestic peaks. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and then take a leisurely stroll along Mall Road, with its charming shops and cafes. Relax with an overnight stay in Darjeeling, surrounded by the serene beauty of the hills. The next day, prepare for an unforgettable journey exploring the town’s captivating attractions and cultural wonders.

Start your day early with a visit to Tiger Hill (subject to token/permit availability) for a breathtaking sunrise. Watch as the horizon transforms into a vibrant canvas, showcasing the majestic Himalayan range, including the iconic peaks like Kangchenjunga and Mount Everest. Don’t miss the opportunity to witness the golden hues that blanket the entire mountain range. On your way back, catch a glimpse of the 15-foot-tall image of the mythical Buddha at Ghoom Monastery, the oldest in the area. Return to your hotel for a delicious breakfast.

After breakfast, embark on a city tour, beginning with the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays). This renowned institute was founded by Tenzing Norgay after his historic ascent of Mount Everest. Explore the institute’s rich history and exhibits. Next, visit the Zoological Park (closed on Thursdays) to admire the diverse wildlife, including rare Himalayan species. Proceed to the Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sundays) to learn about the vibrant Tibetan culture and witness traditional craftsmanship. Make a stop at Tenzing Rock and Gombu Rock, famous for their rock-climbing routes. Finally, drive by the Tea Estate, marvelling at the lush tea gardens. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
