After a satisfying breakfast, our journey continues towards Lachen, unveiling the beauty of small villages and valleys, leading us through the enchanting forest grove of Kabi Lungchok. Our next destination is Shinghik, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the majestic Kanchenjunga. Perched at an altitude exceeding 4000ft, Shinghik provides a welcome respite to travellers en route to Lachen. We’ll enjoy a delightful lunch along the way and make a stop at Chungthang, where the rivers Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu converge, accompanied by mesmerizing waterfalls. Early morning, head out for a scenic drive to Thangu Village (4100m / 13450ft), a remote high-altitude village inhabited by Tibetan Nomads. Proceed further to Chopta Valley (4000m / 13124ft) and soak in the breathtaking views of alpine valleys with frozen rivers. Drive an additional 30kms in 1.5 hours to reach the awe-inspiring Gurudongmar Lake (5225m / 17143ft), located close to the Tibet Border. This lake is one of the highest and largest freshwater lakes in Sikkim.
